Manager / Coach / Team Parent FAQ:

 

Q- What is the role/responsibilities of a team manager? A – the team manager is responsible for coordinating all team aspects – drafting the team (except for T-Ball), coordinating and running team practices and games, generating team lineups for games, communicating to the team.  In many cases, the manager delegates some of the communication process to the team parent for things like snack schedule, picture day coordination, fundraising.  All managers (and any parent who engages with the players on the field of play) must be fully certified.

Q – What is the role/responsibilities of a team coach? A – team coaches primarily assist with drills/instruction at the team manager’s direction during practices and pre-game warm-ups.  Coaches typically assist during games by coaching a base and/or keeping the players organized in the dugout.  Like managers (and any parent who engages with the players on the field of play), coaches must be fully qualified.

Q – What is the role/responsibilities of a team parent? A – team primarily assists the team manager with administrative tasks for things like snack schedule, picture day coordination, fundraising and may assist during games in the dugout only in the absence of a team coach.  Team Parents must complete the Application Process in “Step 1” of the coach certification page.

Q – Can I make arrangements with another Manager in my division to switch practice and / or game dates / times? A -Yes – Once All managers involved agree upon the change, please inform your Player Representative.

Q – Can sponsors submit logos for Shirt backs? A – No, currently Sponsor information placed on the back of shirts is standard block lettering only.

Q – How many games does my team play? A – Fall league – One game, one practice per week. Spring League – Two games; 1 weekday, 1 weekend (Please note that this may vary slightly in the younger divisions. Please check with your player agent).
