Requirements: Application, certifications and background screenings are requirements of Hillsborough County and/or Little League to be an approved volunteer and obtain a badge.
Status: Volunteers can check their volunteer status to monitor expiration dates and overall status.

STEP 1: VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
(Required for All Volunteers)
To Volunteer at Keystone Little League as a Manager, Coach, Dugout Parent, Team Parent, or any other type of Volunteer you will need to register an account with Sports Connect (formerly Blue Sombrero). Once the FREE online registration is complete, proceed to Step 2.
STEP 2: VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
(Required for All Volunteers)
Upon receipt of the following, Keystone Little League will initiate your background check request – link will be sent to the email provided in your application.
Provide a copy of your driver's license
Complete the current calendar year’s Little League Volunteer Application – Include legal name (First, Middle and Last), social security number (required for background check), and all other required fields
STEP 3: COACHING CERTIFICATION
(Required for All Managers, Coaches & Dugout Volunteers)
Note: The free in-person Hillsborough County Coaching Clinics are not currently available.
STEP 4: CPR, FIRST AID & AED CERTIFICATION
(Required for All Managers, Coaches & Dugout Volunteers)
These certifications must be renewed every two (2) years and takes approximately 25-60 min to complete. Please choose one of the following (cost varies):
STEP 5: CONCUSSION AWARENESS CERTIFICATION
(Required for All Managers, Coaches & Dugout Volunteers)
This certification is free and takes 20 minutes to complete.
STEP 6: RED LANYARD & ID BADGE
(Required for All APPROVED Managers, Coaches & Dugout Volunteers)
Volunteers must always wear their league provided red lanyard (do not switch the lanyard color) and ID Badge while engaged in Keystone Little League team activities at Ed Radice. The County and League officials complete compliance site checks. Volunteers found not wearing their red lanyard and ID Badge will be removed from the field or dugout.
Little League relies on our volunteers to offer the opportunity for children and families to forge lifelong memories, and have positive experiences both on-and-off the field.
